Kicking Off My MBA Journey
Over the last year I have rather silently been preparing my application for, and then (post-acceptance letter) preparing for my first weekend of the Sauder Part-time MBA Program. After many hours of alumni panels, essay writing, Khan Academy videos, and scrolling through “Poets and Quants”, the day finally came. The first day of opening weekend.
I was so anxious I woke up at 4:30 a.m. Not great when you want to put your best foot forward.
After four days with my classmates, the faculty, and the program team, the anxiety has been completely replaced with excitement. My classmates come from unique backgrounds, the faculty are eager to engage, and the staff have created a lot of interesting opportunities for learning and connection – in Vancouver and internationally. There are cool clubs to join, and already the cohort ahead of us is reaching out and welcoming us to the Sauder MBA community.
Usually I have a detailed list of goals for the New Year. This year I have one goal: to absolutely make the most of everything this program has to offer.
